How do I know a seller is legitimate?

All sellers are reviewed and approved by our team before they can list products. Look for the "Verified Farm" badge on seller profiles and product listings.

What are the different order types?

There are 4 order types: Direct Purchase (pay in full), Reserve with Deposit (pay a deposit to hold), Quote Request (ask for a price), and Wholesale Enquiry (bulk orders). See our How It Works page for full details.

When do I pay?

Accepted Answer

You never pay before the seller confirms availability and price. For Quote Requests, the seller sends a quote first. For Direct Purchases, payment is requested after the seller confirms the order. You are not committed to pay at the time of placing an enquiry.

Can I cancel an order?

You can cancel an order before the seller has confirmed it or before payment is made. Once payment is confirmed, cancellation is subject to the seller's terms and our Refund Policy. Go to My Orders in your dashboard to cancel.

What if the goods don't match the listing?

Raise a dispute within 72 hours of delivery from your order dashboard. Provide photos and a description of the issue. Our team will investigate and mediate. Seller payouts are held during active disputes.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery fees are set by each seller and vary by location, product type and distance. Always confirm the delivery fee with the seller before making payment. Farm pickup is always free.

Can I pick up from the farm?

Yes. Farm pickup is available with most sellers. After your order is confirmed, the seller will share their farm address or collection point. You arrange your own transport.

How are live animals transported?

Live animals are typically collected by the buyer or their agent from the farm. The buyer is responsible for providing appropriate transport crates and handling. Some sellers offer delivery for live animals — confirm this before ordering.

Do you deliver interstate?

Some sellers offer interstate delivery. Marketplace-coordinated logistics with interstate coverage is coming soon. Check the seller's delivery options on their profile or ask via the order messaging thread.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept card payments via Paystack, bank transfer, and cash on pickup (where offered by the seller). WhatsApp orders are paid directly with the seller by mutual agreement.

How do deposit and balance payments work?

For Reserve orders, you pay a deposit (typically 20–50% of the total) to hold the goods. The balance is due before dispatch. If the seller cannot fulfil the order, your deposit is eligible for a refund under our Refund Policy.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Payments are processed by Paystack, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We never store your card details on our servers. Bank transfer payments are verified by our team before order status is updated.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are processed according to our Refund Policy. Raise a dispute or cancellation request from your order dashboard. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

How do I start selling?

Complete the seller application form at /sell. You'll need your business details, product categories and supporting documents. Applications are reviewed within 2–5 business days.

Is there a fee to sell?

Listing products is free. AgriMarket charges a commission on completed sales. Commission rates are disclosed in the Seller Agreement. There are no monthly fees.

How do I get paid?

Seller payouts are processed after the buyer confirms receipt of goods. Payouts are made to your registered bank account, minus the marketplace commission. Payout processing takes 1–3 business days.

Can I sell live animals?

Yes. Live animals are a core category on AgriMarket. You can list cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, poultry and more. Include breed, weight, age and sex details. Buyers may request photos or video before committing.

How do I create an account?

Click "Register" at the top of any page. You'll need a valid email address and a password. No phone number is required to create a buyer account.

Go to your Dashboard and click on Profile Settings. You can update your name, phone number, delivery address and notification preferences.
